Yoga
Anyone can practice yoga no matter what shape or size. Yoga postures (asanas) exercise every part of the body, stretching and toning the muscles and joints, the spine and the entire skeletal system. In performing the asanas you also massage your internal organs, glands and therefore keeping all systems healthy. Yoga teaches you to work with the body, breath and movement releasing physical and mental tension. Proper breathing (pranayama) revitalises the body bringing a sense of inner calm.
Yoga is a complete science originating in India many thousands of years ago. It is the oldest system in the world of personal development encompassing body, mind and spirit. Regular practice can bring a sense of inner peace and deeper awareness of who we are.
“Health is wealth, Peace of mind is happiness, Yoga shows the way.”

The Five points of Yoga
1. Proper Exercise
Yoga allows the body to open, stretch and increase flexibility and strength thereby improving the natural motion of joints and muscles. The postures (Asanas) help to keep the spine strong, flexible and healthy. Yoga connects the body with the mind and breath uniting our body and soul.
2. Proper breathing
Yoga pranayama (breathing exercises), teach us to work with many techniques to improve lung capacity. Proper breathing is deep, slow and rhythmical, increasing vitality and mental clarity. It helps to cleanse the lungs of stale air which we can hold for up to 3 days.
3. Proper Relaxation
Deep relaxation at the end of every class and stopping to relax throughout, deeply relaxes all the muscles of the body; it rejuvenates the nervous system and brings about a deep sense of inner calm. Savasana, relaxation pose, is the perfect relaxation physically mentally and spiritually.
4. Proper diet
Yoga advocates a health vegetarian diet with pure simple and natural foods which are easily digested to maintain health.
5. Positive Thinking & Meditation
This is one of the most important parts in our practice. Positive thinking and creative thoughts contribute to vibrant health and a peaceful mind.
